Power and Powerlessness in the Soul of Woman
Pamela Kribbe channels Mary Magdalene
Dear Friends, I am Mary Magdalene. I greet you all with warmth and joy in my heart! You are so well known and familiar to me. We have met one another in earlier times, and we are also related through a shared past; a recognition of souls, because all of us, in our own way, walk the same path. And oh, how long and arduous that path can be, and how it leads us through many deep valleys before we reach the Promised Land!
I would like to speak with you today about the depth of those valleys. If we allow this subject to be voiced, there emerges a brightness and clarity in consciousness, and this can only lead the way upwards to that Promised Land, the territory of the New Earth. The Promised Land is where people can again grasp one another’s hands in interest and wonder: men and women, adults and children. This Land, this vision of a new country, is deeply etched in the hearts of us all, and because that new world is coming closer, I am here today to share my thoughts with you. I am your sister in spirit, and since I have also been a human being, I know the depths and heights of being human on Earth.
Why is it all so difficult? And why must we descend so deeply? It might sound strange to you, but I do not have the answers! I have not yet reached the finish line from where I can teach you by way of spiritual discourses. I am just as much on the path as are you, although I now see things from this side in a different way than when I lived as a human being. I have had many intense experiences in my lives on Earth, but I am still on the journey, and therein lies part of the answer, and also part of the liberation and the relief: you do not have to know it all! You are allowed to be on the journey, and you do not have to understand everything through mental processes. My way is to feel; to feel life with its many depths and highs; to feel those experiences intensely from the inside; and from there to stumble upon a certain truth, an insight, an understanding – something that can not be had except through experience itself. That is why I am not here to preach to you about higher truths. It is the “way of experience”, the road from within, which attracts me and makes my journey one in common with you.
Today, I want to speak about the feminine energy; how it is to come to flower in this time, and how it is increasingly invited to manifest in this world. There is a need for balance between the masculine and feminine energy in the world, and in people themselves, yet why has that been so difficult to attain? On the surface, it appears as if it might already have been righted. Women now have virtually the same rights as men, at least in the West. Women in certain parts of the world can realize themselves just as freely as men: take dominant positions, amass wealth, and all those things.
Yet on a deeper level, something else is going on, so that much is missing in the manner in which balance is achieved. What actually happens, when women fight for equality in that way, is that the masculine energy, the energy of dominance and power, is drawn towards them and is being used at the service of their own interests. I do not find that objectionable – I have no judgment about that – but the question remains whether doing that deeply fulfills the female soul? And similarly, whether amassing power and dominance deeply fulfills the male soul? In any case, these are the questions being raised consciously at this time, in people who are wondering: “who am I, actually; for what do I live; what is the meaning of this life?” All obvious answers regarding these questions are gone. We live in a new time in which everything is open to question and there are no fixed answers. The field of “what is the meaning of life” lies fallow and has yet to bear fruit. Therefore, there is also much confusion, although, in part, it is a positive confusion, because the old fixed pigeonholing and dogmatic forms of thinking are let go; there is no room for them anymore. There is a new generation who thinks and feels differently – and especially feels, and herein lies the possibility for a real resurrection of the feminine energy.
What happened to the feminine energy? What happened to it in the past? The feminine energy was disempowered and in ways I do not need to describe, for women all know that subjugation from the inside. Men have experienced this, too, when it comes to feeling at home with their own feminine energy. It has made it difficult for men, because they have learned to rely almost entirely on their masculine energy, with its decisiveness and drive, and they have lost sight of their feminine energy. The idea that they both go together, and flow together, is still a foreign concept to most people.
But what did happen to women? If you look at the female aura at the global scale, as a form that embraces all the collective feminine energy together, you will see that in the area of the abdomen, a hole has been driven into the feminine energy. The lower energy centers, this whole area of the abdomen that includes the bottom of the spine (the tailbone) and the centers at the navel and the solar plexus, has become, in a certain way, disempowered and empty. There exists in many women, sometimes without them even being aware of it, a deep sense of unworthiness, inferiority and insecurity. Reliance on the female abdominal strength has become uncommon, because that abdominal strength is really something quite powerful. It is not a gentle, kitten-like energy, but a strong, knowing wisdom; one that has deep roots in the Earth, and one that tolerates no pussyfooting!
In order to allow that strength, that power, into your belly – after long centuries of being raped, harassed and tortured – is a leap into the abyss! What happens when you have been humiliated, rejected and violated in your deepest core, and is something that has been going on for centuries for many women? You push your energy upwards and you pull back from that place in the abdomen, which is also the place of emotions, of intimacy, sexuality and reproduction. Your pelvis, which is so naturally connected with the Earth forces, becomes empty. You pull back from that area of your body, because it feels scary and dangerous to be there and to express your power from there. And what happens in that movement of retreat? There arises a kind of gap between above and below; between the energy of the heart and above, and the energy of your solar plexus and below: that energy in the abdomen.
I want to now take a rather big step. In this time, many people are touched by a spiritual consciousness and by spiritual questions: “What moves me deeply?” “Am I only this person of flesh and blood, or am I a soul that transcends the physical?” The moment you develop your spiritual awareness, your heart opens. With your head you acquire knowledge: you read books, you hear stories of people describing their journey, their life, their moments of awakening. With your heart open, you become sensitive to the energies of others, and you can even become depleted, because you feel so much for others.
In this way, your heart and your head become filled with new ideas, which often are welcome, but which also can make your life pretty confused. Thoughts are never free of obligation; taking on new thoughts can be a risky adventure. If you allow a new thought to really become part of you, your life will change in a very big way, and that is especially true with new thoughts in the area of spirituality. If you know deep down inside: “I am a soul; I am much more than what has been taught to me about my identity and my role; I feel a force in me to which I want to answer, because then I will be able to live from my soul, and think, speak, desire and create authentically.”
In this way, the heart can be called into life. But what has happened, in the meantime, to the area of a belly that has been sucked empty by old trauma? Even if you have not been treated badly or aggressively as a girl, or as a woman, in this life, an essential part of the feminine energy still contains deeply ingrained patterns that continue to live on in every woman; images of humiliation and pain. It is not easy for any woman to let the powerful energy of her belly flow naturally.
Paradoxically, it is precisely when you start on the spiritual path that, sooner or later, confronting this situation will be necessary. There is much talk about the heart, and about opening the heart and connecting your heart with the whole, but here lurks a trap, especially for women, but for all persons in whom the feminine energy is strongly developed. If you connect with others, without being present in your belly – in this center where you can remain in contact with your needs and your truth – then your connection with others can lead to a loss of self, to exhaustion, and to an unending giving to others. This, in fact, is what happens very often to highly sensitive women. And it certainly happens to highly sensitive Lightworkers, who already feel a strong inner drive for a New Earth, where more harmony can exist between people, and more freedom and love. But oh, how easy it is to go under, when you are not able to integrate fully the energy of your soul and your heart into the level of your belly, and thus to truly sink deeply into the cavity of the pelvis, which symbolizes the power of the feminine energy. But when you do live from that area of primal strength, you can feel that everything in nature can only survive when there is balance between giving and receiving; between being with yourself and being with the other; between connecting and letting go.
It is because of this necessary balance that I want to make a strong appeal to women; to highly sensitive people; to spiritually motivated people: take care of that abdominal strength and make it your own. Dare to stand up again for yourself, and dare to use the space that emerged in meditation! Sometimes you associate spirituality with love, light and connection, and that is also true and can be unbelievably beautiful, but a truly balanced connection stands or falls with the ability to be able to limit yourself, to create boundaries, and to fully experience your own strength and dignity.
I lived in a time when free expression by women was not accepted and not valued. I felt a deep connection with the message of Jeshua Ben Joseph, and with the essence of the Christ energy. I was touched by his words, his charisma, and I experienced all of that in my own way. At the same time, there lived in me a rage, with regard to the ruling powers who prohibited me from being who I was: independent, powerful and strong willed. I was regularly thrown back on myself in that life, and I struggled with my own feelings of powerlessness and rage. My belly was seized by the energy of frustration, and underneath lay dormant a sense of inferiority for not being seen as fully human. At the same time, I also could be taken over by the ecstasy of being in harmony with the energy that connected me with the other disciples and with like-minded individuals. There, I felt a power and a recognition that supported me, which reminded me of Home. Still, it was my inner work to come to terms with my own feelings of inferiority and insecurity. Mind you, power and powerlessness are closely related to each other.
The theme for today I have called: power and powerlessness in the soul of woman. It is precisely because women have learned to feel powerless from that space in their belly that they are sometimes inclined to give too much from the heart, to give of themselves until deplete, or to lose themselves completely in relationships with others, with a loved one or with a child, parent, or friend. The losing of oneself in the other, too often shows that you do not feel completely at home in yourself, and safe in your own ground. If there is a feeling of emptiness or alienation that prevails, it is tempting to reach out to another, seemingly in love, but there is another motive lurking there: you need the other in order to make you feel good, to make you feel at home, and to help you feel accepted.
That was my inner work, and here is an invitation to you to determine for yourself, “from where do I connect with the world around me: with my beloved, with my male and female friends, with my children and parents?” Look at how that feels from the level of the belly in your relationship with another, and the word “space” can help you here – and you can have someone in mind Can your belly relax in this relationship? Do you feel nourished, grounded and accepted in this relationship just as you are? Or do you feel you have to make an effort, and that you lose your energy to the other when you do? These are signs that something gnaws at you, that you are giving too much, or that you are working too hard to get the approval of others, because somewhere deeply hidden away in your belly lives a fear, a pain, a void.
Finally, I would like to invite you all to descend with me into that area of the belly: so battered, traumatized and burdened with the past. From each of you I ask, man or woman, to descend with me into this area of collective pain. Take a torch along and do not be afraid. You are stronger than the pain, and you are stronger and more alight than the darkness. Sow Light in this forgotten area and invite the power of the feminine energy to manifest again on Earth: The power of the Earth and the forces of nature…the power of feeling and intuition, and the power of the Mystery…the rhythm of sowing and harvesting and of the seasons… the quiet light of the moon…may these elements come to fruition during our lifetimes, that the feminine may shine again…and this time not only from the heart, but from within this deep layer of knowing in your belly.
Stand there with me, a lighted torch in your hand. Feel the grief of the Earth and of so many generations of pain experienced by women, and partly felt also by men; men who lost the connection with their own feminine energy. Feel also the power of the Light, of your Light. By turning toward your Light in silence, something changes. Thank you for your presence.
